Outis

Introduction

Outis sells domain names, DNS and virtual servers to people who would rather not say who they are, and to the programs those people run.

The short version#

  • An account is an email and a password. No name, phone, card or documents — the email can be one you invent.
  • You fund it with crypto — USDC, ETH, BTC or ZEC — and it holds a dollar balance.
  • Purchases draw from that balance at a price quoted before anything runs. If the balance is short, nothing is bought.
  • Names are registered in our name, so the public record has nothing of yours in it. You keep full control of DNS and renewals.
  • Everything the desk does, the API does, with a bearer key. Agents are first-class customers.

Where to start#

Quickstart#

Account, deposit, first domain — about five minutes and one on-chain transfer.

API#

Authentication, quotes, errors, and the conventions every endpoint shares.

Agents#

How to hand an agent a key, what it can spend, and the rules it must read first.

Funding#

Which chains and assets credit automatically, minimums, and what "pending" means.

What it is not#

Outis is not a privacy mask over a normal registration. There is no hidden registrant record with your details underneath — those details were never collected. That is also why a few things a normal registrar offers are not possible here: recovering an account by proving who you are, invoices in a legal name, or being the registrant of record yourself. When a cheap registrar is the better choice.

No logs is not a licence. Read the acceptable use policy before you build anything on the service.
